Black Medea is a show that reimagines the classic Greek tale Medea in a contemporary indigenous context. It follows Medea as she sells out her land and her people to an iron mining company, moves to the city, and struggles with her relationship with Jason, her husband. The play introduces the spirits, who help urge Medea to her eventual infanticide, and helps bring the audience along into the world.
